Our South Africa DBT group helps you to cultivate satisfying relationships, respond calmly to intense emotions and build your resilience to distress.
Do you resonate with any of the following?
You often have intense emotions that challenge your daily functioning.
DBT offers practical skills to ground your emotions using both mind and body.
You have been in therapy for a while and would like to practise your improved self-awareness with other individuals in a safe space.
Open to people new to or familiar with therapy, DBT skills groups bring together people with the same goals.
You have struggled to find supportive relationships where you can safely express yourself.
Our DBT group includes evidence-based techniques for improving your interpersonal skills.
You are always in fight-flight-freeze mode and seem to go from crisis to crisis.
Our online DBT skills group introduces a series of tools that help you build your resilience and identify potential crises so you can address situations before they get out of control.
You feel overwhelmed by life and challenges that are beyond your control.
DBT’s emphasis on radical acceptances teaches you how to identify areas for personal growth and how to accept areas beyond our immediate control.
Please note that this group is for adults only. If you are self-referring, you will be invited to book a free introduction call with Beulah to confirm the group’s suitability for you.
About DBT Groups in South Africa
In a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills group, you’ll practise various evidence-based activities that promote positive change. You’ll discuss with the group how you implement these skills in daily life.
The group provides a supportive environment in which to learn from others, model healthy relationships and appreciate the shared human condition, thereby cultivating self-acceptance even as you journey towards personal growth.

“It took me from reasonably accessible but broad ideas, like mindfulness, to specific concrete skills for managing myself and my relationships effectively. This was all couched in a group therapy setting that made engaging with the skills feel safe, relevant, and shared. The group also brought a real sense of ‘I’m not in this alone.'”
